What About When The President Is Republican?

Just because the IRS reports to the President does not mean he was involved. If evidence comes up that he was, I will condemn him.

As BAC said, that doesn't excuse the administration. We have a bureaucracy, whiter you'd like to admit it or not - in many ways, the 21st century Repubs are better than you at recognizing the misuse of government. And the Democrats seem pretty fine with that.

Now we just need to deal with the reckless, hardly transparent, largely business controlled state - and that's not going to happen if you can't get past the minuscule differences between parties.

So you think it is a coincidence that the head of the IRS union was at the White House the day before it started? You think it is a coincidence that the targeting began the same month that Obamacare was passed?

That's about the same as saying Obama's a Catholic because the Pope visited the White House.

btw...she was there for a day of meetings with hundreds of others on Workplace Flexibility at the Old Executive Office Building. Usually stuff like that is set up months, maybe years, in advance.

Clearly a coincidence, she was in attendance with a crowd of over 150 for a lunch. She was a regular for these types of events and was not on the Presidents schedule.

So dereliction of duty is a defense?

No, you have to understand how the IRS is structured, the Head of the IRS is in for a six year term. The President does not have the power to fire him, because they set it up to keep politics out of it. While the President will appoint his successor he does not supervise him, in fact it is Congress that does.

Why was Stevens in such a dangerous place at such a dangerous time unprotected?

Until you can answer that question, you don't have clue about what happened there.

There is no there to the allegations that the President lied or covered up the terrorist attack.

Once again, there might be a there to the allegations you are making, but there is no there to the allegations that the Republicans are making.
