I am proud of what the left stands for...and that asshole-like description you just gave is bullshit. We mostly stand for caring for our fellow humans; our planet and its health; and for the non-human population that share the planet with us.

As for the American right...here is what they are proud of:

They are proud that they can justify their considerable hatred for so many things...mostly, the plight of others who are in dire circumstances and need help in getting out of their predicament.

MAGA morons can justify their hatred and lack of concern for non-white people; for older people; for poor people; for the "huddled masses yearning to breathe free."

And when Hillary Clinton called them a basket of deplorables...they castigated her for doing so. As far as I was concerned, she was being kind...because they actually are a disgusting bunch of trash masquerading as humans.

The Right doesn't "hate" others in dire circumstances. They expect those in such circumstances to first try and help themselves rather than just expect an endless, generous, handout. They also look at how such persons got into that predicament. If it is self-caused, then the Right expects them to get themselves out of it rather than do all the work for them.

I do not promise Utopia...in fact, I doubt anything even close is possible today with the ascendency of the Nazi-like right of the world. That has to be put out of business before any moves toward a better, fairer, more just world can be made.
