That we are socialist and that we created the mess in our city's with social engineering . Yup their best shots are both stupid and not true , not even close. This hate group they call a party is 100% based on lies or total distortions , They don't want to work with facts when lies are more effected.
 
1. That socialism and capitalism are a binary choice.

EVERY economy has both public and private sectors.
The actual discussion is over where to draw the lines.

2. That Judeo-Christian influence over the laws of the land is any more welcome than the influence of Sharia Law.

Theocracy is theocracy. All of it is intolerable to people of intellect.

Over the last eight presidential Elections, the RepubliQans have only won the popular vote ONCE.

The Woke bullshit isn't sticking. Hell, most Americans don't even know what it means.
Same with Critical Race Theory. The Right Wing Media keeps reporting on it to make it seem like it's a big deal, bit America doesn't care.

The RepubliQans are embarrassing themselves and showing America how incompetent they are by chasing these unwarranted conspiracy theories to damage the Dems. I've never seen the RepubliQans in such disarray and I was around during Watergate.

The bolded intrigued me. We're all Americans but based on our age, where we live and who we interact with we can have very different experiences. Maybe it's because I'm from the Bay but for years friends posting on social media end their posts with 'stay woke'. Many high profile athletes with millions of followers such as LeBron James will end tweets with 'stay woke'. It's a term you hear on a regular basis. So the idea that most Americans don't know what that term means is a foreign one to me, but I guess it's possible as well.

(My guess is it's an age thing. If you're over 60 and not a minority I could see a much higher percentage of people not being aware of it. I'd venture to guess most younger people are familiar with the term.)

Edit: I forgot, I've heard the term 'woke Capitalism' discussed quite a bit in business writings over the past year as well.

The other thing I found interesting about you response is when you said "I'm from the Bay..." But not what 'bay'.
Could it be Tampa Bay? Chesapeake Bay? SF Bay? And what would being from that area have to do with 'woke'?

Haha, I guess it is provincial to assume every knows we are referring to the Bay Area when people talk about the Bay. (If you are really hip you call it the 'Yay Area' in your E40 voice)

Oakland specifically is home to the Black Panthers and a lot of activism, along with other parts of the Bay. To be from here is to fully understand wokeness, what is means and what it entails. Hence it being used so frequently in people's speech.

It wasn't sharia, it wasn't Christian ruled.

This is random but there’s a (black) professor of linguistics at Columbia University named John McWhorter and I’ve read a number of his books and read/listen to a bunch of his work. He’s a Democrat who hated Trump but he takes contrarian positions on issues of race. Really interesting guy. He has a book coming out this fall called Woke Racism (listening to a podcast now with him discussing it). Not to belabor the point but it’s a word that has become a regular part of our lexicon
