Poland and Hungary are two. Both remember the shit they went through under Communism...
India and Turkey are two more, both largely for religious reasons.
The Gulf States are some more (Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Dubai, Oman, etc.)
Another possibility is Switzerland. They are very conservative in many ways.
Japan, S. Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, and Taiwan are several more.
Russia
I would guess there would be, but that is really not a "thing", is it.
The United States is NOT a Democracy.
I thought you were a lawyer? What type of government do we have Mr. Gayrod, Esq.?
Thank you, I take issue with Turkey being a true Democracy, and with Switzerland due to its huge welfare state, it’s a Democratic-socialist nation. They have less gun control than the rest of Europe, but not what I’d call conservative.
Switzerland has what is likely one of the most restrictive immigration policies in all of Europe. They take nobody as refuges. To get citizenship is a long process, and part of it involves those in the Canton in which you live testifying to the authorities you deserve to be Swiss.
Is that what makes a conservative nation? They are Democratic Socialists, they are not more conservative than the USA.
Bet you didn't know all women only got the right to vote there in 1990. Gay marriage was made legal this year, the last country in Europe to do that. It is much more Capitalistic than the US or virtually all of Europe. There is far less 'State' in your daily life there. On the whole, Switzerland is very conservative so while they have some Socialist policies particularly as applied to a welfare state, they are definitely conservative.
