What did Trump get in exchange for cease-fire?

2) He said that if Iran did not agree with those demands he was going to rein hell on the entire nation, the likes of which have never been seen. This threat cause great anguish to many people in the region.

3) At the last second, he said they were discussing things (something he said a month ago and two weeks ago) and thus he was not going ahead with the reign of terror he threatened. (again, I am glad he backed down) Hormuz is still closed, and now they are charging for any small number of boats that they do allow through.

My point is that this type of circus tells the world we are not to be taken seriously, and our president's threats do not mean much. Additionally I want to understand the people who fall for it. They believe he has accomplished something. The truth is he needed to get this thing over because the walls were closing in. He made a mess and presents it as a polished trophy, and these dipshits fall for it. When confronted with the truth, they do anything they can to avoid discussing it, while claiming they are discussing it.

Vance went there, that is where negotiations are happening. I told you clearly from the beginning that nobody received anything at all and we won't know what they got for this "ceasefire" until we see what comes out of the negotiations. It is possible it will just be more war.

You, again, want him to end the "war" (conflict), but not to end the "war" (conflict) because you demand he escalate the way you want him to escalate because that was what you believe he said, but you didn't want him to say so, and said you didn't want him to escalate, so you want him to escalate because you want him to do what he said.... but you don't want him to do what he said.... You want him to stop the war, but don't want him to send Vance to negotiate to end the conflict.....

I want everybody to see that what he said was a lie, and an irresponsible threat that he was not prepared to carry out.

Such things cause harm to our nation. If negotiation still has to happen before we know what he got for withdrawing the threat, then he didn’t get anything before withdrawing the threat. They clearly called his bluff.

It was a dangerous threat that he never intended to carry out and should never have happened.

I’m glad the war is likely over, I’m angry about the threat. They were negotiating two weeks ago, and four weeks ago, both times Trump extended the deadline. It’s clear there is no deadline. The man simply lies.
