it depends on which political party members are corrupt. The people who support the party of the person committing the crimes will obfuscate and dismiss any and all allegations until it's totally and completely obvious that there's no way to avoid the issue, at which point they will ostracize and criticize for a few days until it's blown over by the media.
Ohh stuff like has been happening here for decades.

Directed Pork for another. Such as military transport planes the military did not even want.
No bid contracts to cronies, etc.
