The Force is With Me
no. this is correct:
If a democrat said it, he'd be talking about how the solution is to throw more taxpayer money at the issue, in an ineffective manner.
If a republican said it, he'd be saying how the underlying problem is breakdown of the african american family and the lack of a father figure in the lives of black youngsters.
You're on the right and that's just what you've been fed, but as usual, there is an awful lot you don't know. The reason you don't know is simple .. the puppetmasters didn't feed it to you.
In spite of the contrived "war on drugs", which is nothing more than a war on African-American men, a truth that is known, documeneted, and proven, there are still more black men in college than in prison, and in spite of the contrived war on young black men, there are 4 times as many young brothers in college 18-15 than in prison. They fight against an onslaught of injustice.
The good news of Edwards statement is that it forces renewed focus on America, the greatest prison nation on earth. We even have prisons and secret prisons in other countries.
America has 5% of the world's population and 25% of all the world's prisoners. We leave China, Iran, Egypt, North Korea, and Russia FAR in the dust .. not just by prison population, but also per capita.
Black America is under attack by the injustice of the criminal system which has been ignored the rest of America. Edwards statement, the Jena Six case which has drawn international focus, articles studies, and documentaries are now starting to force America in front of the mirror, and not just about the ignorance of Bush.
