Finally got a look at the Little Mermaid last night in a clip on television. Stunningly beautiful is what is notable about her. Who cares where the genes came from.

I haven't changed anything.

My first post in this thread, was an expression of my opinion that the reason Disney cast The Little Brown Actress as The Little Brown Mermaid, was because they caved to pressure from the woke (black & gay) elements in society.

Period.

But the proggie loons came unglued, started hurling their usual bitchy insults, then an all out war ensued.

Since then, I've just been having fun defending myself by flinging their own brand of shit right back at them.

Anyway, I've never liked progressives any more than Trumpers and I've said as much on several occasions.

It's just that all this woke pandering shit has reached new heights and looks to be coming to a boiling point.

On the issue of Trump and basic policy politics, I still side with the left.

On this issue and similar social/cultural issues, I tend to side more with the right.

I do not hate, dislike or disrespect gay/alphabet/black people as long as they aren't constantly in my face whining about something.

Their overly pushy and demanding social and political agendas, are what I'm opposed to.

Simple as that.

I'm not a movie business guy, but once you add in licensing fees and profits from streaming services it seems like this thing could ultimately gross near to one billion $$

I wasn't just referring to the $ "success"-I don't pay much attention to that....I'm not surprised that you so, however... I know people who've been to see it several times...just to make some kind of "statement"...that doesn't surprise me either...lol...
and that's ok, too...but this latest version won't be the one that transcends time...no classic with this one...
That will be the same for Snow White...I mean, we can all list the classics here...Nothing will take their place in history....

Especially given that Americas racist scumbags made sure that China and South Korea knew that A BLACK GIRL WAS PLAYING THE LEAD. It tanked there. Did great domestically, so I guess those anti-Disney sentiments didn't do much to hurt the film in the US. Culture wars are galactically stupid. That's why Trump and DeSantis supporters engage in them.
