The question was about what a persons favorite smell is. I answered the question honestly and followed up on WHY it is my favorite smell. My answer is totally logical and makes perfect sense. It reminds me of fun times, boating, skiing , wake boarding, volleyball on the beach, bonfire parties, getting laid. What? All those things aren't fun for you? Hey man,...you do you,...if you want to stay inside and read a book have at it,...but as for me,...HELL YEAH those things are fun! That's why I STILL do them. Only difference is now I only get laid by my wife and she is plenty good enuff for me!
The other thing which may have a lot to do with it is the fact that I have lived much of my life in a Northern Climate. The winters are soooooooooo long, and pretty tough. So when spring comes its almost like flipping a switch everyone is so happy. From Memorial day weekend to late September everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, is in full on party mode. Its just the way it is here, Plus,...I grew up in a big time tourism area, you literally cant drive more than a few miles without running into a lake,...not these dinky little lakes you see down south, big ass lakes,...hell,...I grew up on an Island! So yeah,...Im sure those long winters have a lot to do with it. True story.......I was talking to one of our clients a couple weeks back. Super nice people from Indy,.....late 50's. She was telling me that she doesn't think she can survive a whole summer here next summer...LOL We were both LOAO. She said she hadn't partied like that since she was in college. I said well....get used to it because that's just the way it is. She was all wore out by late JULY she said!

Well,....a whole lot of old adages are proven to be quite false. And there was no boasting whatsoever in my posts. So you never went to the beach when you were younger? Didn't go boating, go to bonfire parties, never got laid ? If not I feel bad for you,....its alot of fun. You are only as old as you feel and I am going to keep right on doing the things I enjoy just as long as I possibly can. Eventually I will die, just like everyone else does,....but I won't be going out riding any rocking chair I can tell you that. You do you,..and I'll do me and we'll leave it at that.

About a 20 minute drive from my neighborhood.
This was the eastern edge of my hometown....

The Indian River Lagoon/Intracoastal Waterway runs north and south along the eastern edge of the town I lived in. A kid I went to high school with lived in a boathouse across the street from his family's residence. It was like having his own little apartment. He kept his 12' Hobie Cat tied up right next to where his room was.
My other friends traversed the St John's River a few miles out west of town in small aluminum fishing boats. Spent time in them, too.
Even rode in airboats a few times out of the fish camp in the pic below ....
Everything shown is about 20 minutes in opposite directions from my neighborhood.
As far as getting laid, I feel it's kind of tacky and crass to publicly discuss such personal aspects of one's life, but suffice it to say, I had more than a couple of girlfriends during my teens and 20's.
You're engaging in a lot of patting yourself on the back for doing things most young guys have done.
