My feeling, having also read that, is that if Israel goes in, the US will follow. Even with all the dumb stuff the Israeli's pull, we'd go in because we're totally incapable of cutting them loose.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is determined to launch an attack to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, and he wants to do so before the presidential election in November.
He believes President Barack Obama would have no choice but to back the Israeli decision in the weeks before he has to face the nation at the polls, according to a report in the Times of Israel.
“From the prime minister’s point of view, the time for action is getting closer,” the newspaper reported influential reporter Alon Ben-David as saying.
Ben-David said Netanyahu would not wait for a meeting with Obama at next month’s meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in New York to decide on a strike on Iran.

My only hope is that if the war kicks up, the first shot goes right into Netanyhu's office. He's far too willing to kick off wars he can't win for any position near power.

Why does the U.S. support Isreal? They are doing to the palistinians what the Nazis did to Jews.The nation of Isreal sits on land that belongs to Palistine. As far as Im conserned the Isrealis are no better then Nazis,probably worse.

ummmmm a lot of the gained territory was a result of the 6 days war where basically every country in the middle east tried to start shit with israel and go their asses kicked. That's what happens in war, you lose territory.
