Freddy Mercury was a musical genius, dude. So was Prince. Personally I think they both had a flake of sugar in their blood, but they were damn good musicians.

Agreed, just not my style.
Personally I consider the prog rock of Yes and pre commercial Genesis of the ‘70’s as musical genius.

Yeah, it just lacks the pentatonic soul I love.

I love all of that. But everybody in the band area shuts the fuck up and listens if I start playing Stormy Monday.

Even the guy noodling the Alex Lifeson solo to a T.

Phrasing is everything. It's how you speak with music.
Music is a language. Alex Lifeson just kinda babbles for a few minutes.

Now the other 2 carry him..I like it..but he's too white and babbly for me to like him.
