What should they pay.

Not surprised you did what I though and split hairs.

I will agree with you on rent seeking. But, companies will do that regardless.

I personally support a sales tax. It is equitable and everyone pays

I understood your point but there is a significant difference in taxing income and wealth.

The bloat makes them inneficient in the market. They become dependent on rent seeking and very effective at it. Nova even thinks we need them and others argue they are too big to fail. Honestly, they become so big that their failure can cause problems.
The right talks a bunch of shit about taxes but warfare is and always has been the primary reason for them.

More estate tax, luxary tax, a fee on stock transactions, tax on bank holdings, tax on realestate holdings, tax on large money transfers, gift tax on large money transfer tax....

Sales tax on large luxary items, international airplane fairs, there are plenty of ways to work it.

None of it is fair, I simply think directly taxing the proceeds of hard work is one of the most unfair ways to do it.

Geebus Jarod, you come up with these retarded ideas and then all liberals get saddled with them.

Nothing wrong with taxing income, what is wrong is saying that capital gains are not income.

You can't eliminate income tax and replace it with wealth tax, all the wealthy people would just leave the fucking country.

If someone is pretending all liberals agree with me they are idiots.

Why don't all people with good income leave the country?

Bullshit on steroids, obviously the concept of regressive taxation means nothing to you.

Ahh yes the old "regressive tax on the poor" meme.

If you agree that EVERYONE should pay taxes in an equitable manner then the sales tax is the only way to go. It is fair, does not require a bureaucracy to enforce, does not require oodles of paperwork and wasted man hours, and it is very difficult to avoid. Everyone pays it and there is no way to duck it.

The only people who hate it are those who really don't believe in "everyone paying their fair share".

What happened Shy Guy, didn't get laid last night? Now you're bitter and decided to phag out on the board this morning?

Where would corprations be without the workers? It is just an idea, until you can implement, sell and distribute it, plus oil companies are a bad example, natural resources should be owned by the people!

Shy Guy, Alaska owns our oil, the citizens get a dividend from oil money investments. This very conservative state loves this arrangement.

No. For an individual you gain wealth by income minus spending. For a business wealth or owners equity is increased by income minus distributions. Taxing them is different and will have very different results. For instance, income taxes have the effect of encouraging corporations to accumulate more wealth than may be healthy or needed as distributions are taxed twice. I would prefer to have wealth taxed to avoid the massive corporations which inevitably engage in rent seeking.

That sounds like good Marxist propaganda bullshit to me....
For an individual you gain wealth by income. how you spend it or dispose it is irrelevant...
For a business wealth or owners equity is increased by income minus distributions...this I can agree with...distribution being the cost of doing business....

The first effect on Income tax on business is lessening what might be used to grow the business, it will stifle expansion to some degree, maybe completely...
There is no such thing as making too much money or having too much profit......
Any and all profit is used somehow....it goes to stockholders, it goes to labor, it goes to capital improvement, it goes to innovation, to goes to R & D.....and in all
of these cases, it leads to a growing economy and that wealth is recirculated throughout the system....

Any of that profit that goes to government is like burning it in a fire....Most of it, not all, but most
is wasted, lost, and pissed away for the most part.....every hand it passes through keeps some of it....and if it passes though enough hands, the crooks whose hands
it passed through get it.....

This is not to say that this happens in every single instance....sometimes the government actually throws a few cents of every dollar back to infrastructure or defence
of the nation, etc.....thats what keeps the pinheads happy and docile....
