Big Gulps have no medical value and are harmful. That is a weak and stupid rationale for making something illegal. Those who make such arguments are not concerned with individual rights.
 
Anyone who built any business no matter how hard they worked and how well they managed their businness has to add luck into the mix.


Luck is always a factor in life.


Those who are successful and deny luck had something to do with it are deluding themselves

Very true! This is why I laugh when I see so many people call themselves "conservatives" and yet have no problem with the gov't taking freedoms.

Yes, luck is a factor in our lives. But the bulk of the credit for success is not about luck but about busting your ass.

I know several men who built solid businesses. Every one of them was one of the first ones in and the last ones out. Rush hour traffic was not an issue for them because they were at work before it started and left long after it was over.
 
I just dont care what the Government in New York City does. If the Republican mayor can get away with managing how companies package their product... go for it. If they tried to do that in my city, I'd vote against it.

And I have known people who SHOULD have made it.

Did everything your talking about and something unforseen crushed them.


Something that had nothing to do with their commitment to success.


If you made it you had enough of the series of good luck to keep you afloat.

That is a complete lie and distortion of the facts.....it is the conservatives that fight, to keep the freedoms as put forth in the Constitution and endeavor to
stop the government from eroding our freedoms....especially as put forth in the Bill of Rights.

It is the Liberals that have no problem with the gov't taking freedoms, as in the erosion of our right to bear arms, freedom of religion and religious practices, freedom of speech, etc....
democrats have been and are still trying every day to put limits on these and other Constitutional freedoms.

an Independent....
Some of the policies Bloomberg advocates parallel those of either the Democratic or the Republican party platform. He is socially liberal or progressive, supporting abortion rights, gay marriage, gun control, and amnesty for illegal immigrants, for example.

So to label him a Republican is not only incorrect, it is mis-leading and a mis-characterization of his policies.....

Yeah, seriously...

Homos can get married under the same rules and regulations as hetros, and live happily ever after. Neither can marry a person of the same sex or animals as of yet.

The Mosque is being built, isn't it.....there is no proposal in make it illegal to build.

4th Amendment rights ?....Hes you're President, you voted for him, any problems, blame yourself.

Abortion is legal, and I know of no legitimate proposals to make it illegal, do you ? Killing as a right is quite new to US law.

No one ever made an attempt to FORCE anyone to pray, but only to ALLOW those that want to, to have the right as the Constitution demands.

Proposals to stop voter fraud and guarantee that only citizens are voting, and voting once, in their districts or by approved absentee ballot is not voter suppression...its
election integrity...Voter suppression efforts and attempts are illegal and always has been, no one ever tried to make it legal or change that law to my knowledge.
