What that crazy moonbat Palin is saying today!

I have no idea who the "we" is to whom you are referring. I do, however, think that YOU are a fool. You have absolutely no idea what I want, and you make it abundantly clear that, much like Pavlov's dogs, you "want" whatever it is that you masters tell you that any liberal or democrat doesn't want. Ring the bell, and Dixie comes out of his corner ready to denigrate anything, any idea, any deeply held belief that anyone who is on the "other" side holds to be true. Booooooring.

But that is not what has happened here. Your MSNBC pinhead let it slip, that Liberals want to take control of the children, and when called out about it by Sarah Palin and others, your side has decided to SPIN the whole thing into a debate about wholesome community values! Well look at us, sugar just won't melt in our mouths, we're so sweet! We're totally harmless, we just want to instill wholesome community values in our youth and help them to grow into responsible adults, like in the olden days! Who could oppose that?

Fuck you! Fuck every last one of you! I don't buy your bullshit for one second, and never will. You want our kids so you can pump their fertile little minds full of Marxist and Maoist theory! You want to indoctrinate the next generation of little socialist warriors to go out there and fight the good fight. No one is fooled by your spin, and it's so fucking ridiculous, it's as if Liberals expect the mentality of the typical American to be along the lines of Homer Simpson, apparently. That's about how stupid one would have to be, in order to buy this spin.

the stupid party
No, that's the Left. They're also the pervert party, the heathen party, the moonbat party, the hypocrite party, the liar party, the murderer party, and the scumbag party.

Nicely done, evince. That was both fun and enlightening. ;)

Yes, we are knitting the little brown shirts as we speak!

Palin and the MSNBC lady are wrong.... Nobody owns Children, they are people and thus are unownable.

Now children are entrusted to the care of parents and less so to the care of a community.

As a father of three young children, I can affirm that in our culture it does "take a village" to raise a happy and health child in our culture.

The Village does do a fair job of trying to make them unhealthy, as well.

Talk about being a drama queen! Wow. She didn't let anything "slip". Your side, with Caribou Barbie leading the charge, are the spinners here. Even folks on your side who aren't dizzy understood her perfectly... Every sane person from the middle leftward understood her perfectly... It takes a village. It really does. Once children hit age five, they spend as much, if not more time interacting with the citizens of the village as they do with their parents. The success, or lack thereof, that every member of the village achieves in those interactions all play an important role in the upbringing of those children. But do go ahead and dramatically wipe your furrowed brow over this... It reminds me of the cheesy acting on Mexican telenovelas.

Neither are conservative. Both are moderate at best, probably liberal, socially.

Now, I liked Kelly Ayotte, senator from NH, and Mia Love, Mayor of Saratoga Springs, UT. And I loved Susana Martinez at the RNC.... but these voices are not being "ignored" by the right, they are being heard every day. You say it's a shame Palin is 'stealing the spotlight' but Sarah Palin wasn't invited to speak to the RNC.

Do you ever wonder why?

You get no points for being dramatic. I know that Lee Greenwood was singing in your head when you wrote that mess, but you don't believe it any more than I. You like the idea of liberals who think like you, interacting with your kids, and if a conservative, or heaven forbid, a Christian interacted with your kids, you'd literally have a cow about it.

You can PRETEND this was about community, but conservatives, especially social conservatives, have been the defenders of community, moral decent ethical community, with standards. Your political persuasion has done everything in it's power to destroy these values, to attack "family values" across the board, and ridicule anyone who dares to suggest that communities handle their own problems from within the community.

It is sick and perverse that you people will forge ahead with your plans to indoctrinate our children, under the false pretense it's about community. That is just a flat out lie that needs to be exposed every time it is uttered, and it shall be! You can go tell your "community organizer" president, to keep his goddamn socialist commie hands off MY kids! I don't need HIM, and I don't need YOU!

You know nothing... I sent my son to pre-school at a very conservative CHRISTIAN church. THey had a good program! That summer he went to a summer camp at a Jewish Synagague where he learn a lot. He has been to Church, Temple and Budist Monistaries, I encourage this. The VILLAGE is helping to ensure my son is more well rounded.

Dixie are you from Montgomery? I thought you were from Birmingham..... If you are from Montgomery we have something in common, I practically grew up at the Montgomery Country Club. In fact its where my grandparents met.... They lived in Old Cloverdale on Southview Ave.

I lived in Evergreen for two years. Worst two years of my life. Never saw so many 'phobes evah! I think Dixie's living near Monroe. Maybe Greenville, Maybe Brewton. Somewhere real small with lots of inbred rednecks of injun, japanese and black dutch ancestry.

Jamaica may be the worst offender, but much of the rest of the Caribbean also has a long history of intense homophobia. Islands like Barbados still criminalize homosexuality, and some seem to be following Jamaica's more violent example. Last week two CBS News producers, both Americans, were beaten with tire irons by a gay-bashing mob while vacationing on St. Martin. One of the victims, Ryan Smith, was airbused to a Miami hospital, where he remains in intensive care with a fractured skull.

I am from Birmingham, but I lived in Montgomery for a while. Very familiar with Old Cloverdale, almost bought a house there.

Again, what you and the left are attempting to do, is convince people you're only talking about strong communities, and no one in their right mind is opposed to strong communities, never have been. I get the trick! I'm not opposed to you sending your kids to Synagogues or Churches, or to summer camps. I have never suggested we do away with these programs or aspects of the village. But that's NOT WHAT THE MOONBAT ON MSNBC WAS TALKING ABOUT! Why in logics name, would she have to tell us what we need, if it's stuff that you admit is already happening? Is she saying we need more Christian summer camps or Vacation Bible Schools? I didn't hear that. Is she saying Jewish Synagogues and Buddhist Monasteries should be funded and endorsed by the government so we can have more of them, helping the village? Nope... she didn't say that either. My guess is, if Sarah Palin came up with such an idea, you'd all be ready to burn her at the stake for it.

Do you ever wonder why?

It doesn't matter why. The argument presented, was that Sarah Palin is sucking all the oxygen out of the room, and other conservative women can't find the spotlight because of her. But she wasn't even a speaker at the convention, while I named off a list of fine conservative women who were. So how is she stealing their spotlight? What else could the RNC do to take the spotlight off Palin, besides not invite her to speak? Should they have had someone to get up there and bash Sarah? Seems like the RNC did everything short of that, to avoid giving Palin any attention at all, but Rana says she is stealing the spotlight, I don't see it.

Lovely! Then let's enact Bush's Faith-based Initiatives idea, so Churches and Synagogues can have a stronger influence on young people? You're all for that, right? After all, what better source for the village help than those committed to helping others through their faith? Of course you won't have a problem with this, because you realize the tremendous importance of community, and how it takes a village!

And while we're at it, let's tackle this problem where 70% of black children are born into families with no father around. Maybe the Churches in the Village can offer some guidance there as well? Maybe they can begin to instill some moral values in society? You're all for that, right? Of course you are! You said as much! That's what this is ALL ABOUT!
