What the 'EVs for everybody' cultists don't want you to know

Toyota says large parts of world not ready for zero-emission cars

Large parts of the world are not ready for zero-emission vehicles, which is why Toyota Motor Corp did not sign a pledge to phase out fossil-fuel cars by 2040, the world's largest automaker said.

A spokesperson for Toyota told Reuters that where the energy and charging infrastructure, economics and customer readiness exist, "we are ready to accelerate and help support with appropriate zero-emission vehicles."

"However, in many areas of the world an environment suitable for promoting full zero emission transport has not yet been established," the spokesperson said. "We think it will take more time to make progress; thus, it is difficult for us to commit at this stage."

The rightys live in the history they want us to return to. The fact is batteries are improving rapidly and the support for EVs is also. Whatever the rightys cry about is going away. EVs are the future. The country that does not support them and the technology will be left behind.

Is that so, 4 time loser?

Someone is going to create the revolutionary new technologies, and be the first world country of the rest of the century. I think it should be America. You do not seem to care.

So you're hoping that sometime in the future someone, somewhere, somehow will invent something to make the forcible shift to EVs workable.

That's like burning down your house because someone promised you a new one sometime in the future, isn't it?

So you're hoping...

You are spending a lot of your posts telling me what I am supposedly thinking. Why don't you tell us what you think, and leave it to me to tell people what I think?

I think we should work hard to build a better future. Why the hell is that controversial?

Am I?

Why don't you tell us what you think, and leave it to me to tell people what I think?

Because you seem to offer only platitudes perhaps. I'm not altogether convinced that you know what thinking entails.

Generalize much?
