There is a Democrat in the White House; and the Democrats have a tiny majority in the House (so the Speaker is a Democrat); and the Senate is currently made up of 50 Republicans, 48 Democrats, and 2 Independents (both of whom caucus with the Dems). In the Senate, the Dems have two renegades who are thwarting control. So saying they have "total control" is overstating the case.

And for certain, the Dems are not fucking up completely. They are saving the Republic (just barely) from the severe danger posed by the morons and fascists of the Republican Party.

Fact is that Joe Biden and the Democrats, during their very worst days, are doing a much, much better job of running the country than Trump and the Republicans were able to do on their best days.

Agreed about the margin of control. While that little bit helps steer the agenda, passing bills are more problematic.

The Republicans are likely to take Congress in 2022 but they'll face the same problem of marginal control.

Inflation is the worst it's been in like 40 + years and getting worse.
Biden and Harris are the least popular presidential team since Truman and looking to better his rock bottom popularity score
We've become a laughing stock to the world
Shelves in stores are half empty and shortages are getting worse.
Employment rates are stagnant
Chinese disease is still rampant and everything Joke has tried has been a total failure
The southern US border is wide open and Joke is studiously not enforcing immigration law contrary to his oath of office
We now have the worst energy policy since Jimmy Carter (who's likely thankful he is no longer the worst President in modern history)
The Democrats are doubling down on stupid. They pass an infrastructure bill that does nothing to fix the economy and now want to pass more of the same to fix the economy. Insane is doing the same thing repeatedly expecting different results.
We now have riots in cities daily while looting and pillaging are on the rise.

I don't know what to tell you. "Most" are certainly not ready to move past Trump, at least not in the party.

Trump owns the party, and everyone in it. Those who disagree w/ him are either getting forced out, or resigning. If he runs, he'll win the nomination easily.
