Jerusalem needs to stay as much an international/multi-religious city as possible

Mueller’s investigation and the FBI have been taking some pretty big hits over the past week. In another thread I said ‘it’s about time for another Muller leak in 3...2...1’.

And sure enough here it is. Just like clockwork. Mueller watches the news and he knew he had to do something to change the narrative.

there is no one in the world that still believes Jerusalem will ever be a part of any nation other than Israel........even the Palestinians know they're never going to have a state that includes Jerusalem............

It's always going to be incorporated in Israel, but it need not be the secular capitol of Israel.

It has inherent religious significance for all 3 faiths. It should be free from politics as possible.

It makes no sense to do this for any geo-political reason either. As you say Jerusalem is firmly in Israeli grasp
