So far, 11 tropical cyclones have formed, all of which intensified into named storms. Four storms strengthened into hurricanes, 3 of which become major hurricanes.

Jerry is on his way to become hurricane #5. Karen has been named storm #11.

Right on cue. With a month and a half left in the season.
