Where Do Confederate Monuments Go After They Come Down?

So they left the Democratic Party and formed their own party.

So they ceased being Democrats and re-branded themselves as Dixiecrats, formed the American Independent Party, and ran George Wallace in 1968, capturing five states and 1 electoral vote in Tennessee.

Then all the Democrats who voted against it left the party and by 1968, had started their own Southern Racist Party.

So you leave out what happened after the vote, while trying to pretend like it was somehow Republicans who pushed the CRA, when more Democrats actually voted for it, particularly those outside the South.

Deliberately leaving out information like that, in order to frame a false narrative, is a Russian Active Measure honed by the KGB.
Talk about framing a false narrative. Can you name more than one person that voted against the Civil Rights act that switched to the Republican party? And you really should brush up on the history of the Dixiecrats if you think they came about in 1968 as the AIP.

How many people have served in the U.S. military?

57 million-ish

The Department of Veterans Affairs' estimate of historical wartime service comes up with 41.9 million servicemembers in periods of war, excluding the current conflicts. Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America estimates that some 2.8 million have served in Iraq and/or Afghanistan, but at most only 15 percent of the U.S.' total personnel were deployed for those conflicts and so, unlike VA's data, does not cover the full size of the wartime military.
