Where is the criticism for Nancy Pelosi's racist remark?

Trump's assertion that Hatians and Africans are directly comparable to human excrement, to fecal waste, to shitholes, is an unambiguous declaration of black inferirority, and it can be taken to be unambiguously racist. Now, anyone can make a mistake, and context is every thing. So this one incident, in isolation, is not an automatic indictment. But Trump's history of racial insensitivity, provides all the context we need to know that he was making a statement of white superiority, the superiority of the "very fine" people in the white supremacist movement.

Trump's shithole comment, although far from tactful, was not "racist". And (god I can't believe I'm about to defend that harpy) neither was Nancy Pelosi's statement about the five white guys. Seriously, what part of that statement was incendiary towards white people at all? Not to mention the fact that she's kind of white herself. Not sure how one can be racist against their own race. :confused:

I think people who don't know how to properly use words like 'racist' should stop using them, and yes that goes for both sides (clearly, evidenced by your OP, it's not just the big bad left pulling that crap). This country needs to learn how to have more productive discussion, rather than just slinging insults at the other side like we're in a bar talking sports.

Sorry, I don't think Nancy Pelosi's comment was all that bad. If anything, it was pretty damn accurate. It is mostly old white dudes making the laws in this country. Especially the immigration policy. I don't see how it's racist to point that out. :dunno:

So it's the Trump point you take issue with, then? Sorry, considering I tend to see people on both sides being hyper-partisan asshats on this forum I have trouble remembering who's rooting for which horse in this horse race.

It's called objectivity. I'm just saying I'm sick of hearing that word thrown around for everything. It waters down the meaning. I'm sick of it. That particular comment of his was not racially charged, nor was it even entirely incorrect. Was the comment very much tactless and insensitive, like most of what he says? Sure, absolutely. But the conditions of those countries aren't at all great, that's why they're trying to come here in the first place. Where he's wrong is connecting the conditions of those places to the characters of the immigrants from those places. Actually, deeply impoverished people tend to be far more moral than people with money. And have significantly stronger work ethics. If anything, the shitty conditions they're leaving are precisely the reason they would be so beneficial to this country. Fleeing migrants are what built this country into the superpower it is today.

I'm really not about throwing a temper tantrum every time he tweets something or has an interview. We have alot more important shit to focus on than his dumb ass. Party politics is one of the reasons this country is so damn dysfunctional these days and Congress can't get anything done.
