Where on Earth is there a genuine democracy?

Well, it is possible isn't it...? :awesome:

They probably have a chief or king of some kind, making their form of government a dictatorship.

This country was never a democracy. It is a Constitutional Republic.

In a true democracy, the majority rules regardless of any other factor.

In other words, in a democracy the population could vote to take your property away. If the majority was in favor, you lose your property.
If the population voted that you should be deported, if the majority voted in favor, you would be deported, even if your family came over on the Mayflower.

In a constitutional republic, there are safeguards for the rights of the individual.

You are correct, although the phrase 'constitutional republic' is redundant. A republic is government by constitution.

Such a dismal definition of democracy doesn't contribute much to the conversation.
Libertarians, with their pernicious motives, love to do that.
Libertarians are not socially stable and thus not important to civilized society.

It is the definition of a democracy. A democracy is government by popular vote. There is no constitution. There are no representatives.

It is if they vote to share equally!

Not if they share equally but if the majority votes for that (to be able to eat someone), not get sold out to lobbyist dictatorship which is pretty much the equivalent of being fed one another these days in many countries in modern day through deliberate political divide ... soon it will be surviving just to bring a loaf of bread home if this keeps up ...

There are currently no democracies anywhere in the world. A democracy is an unstable form of government. It usually dissolves into an oligarchy or dictatorship fairly quickly. Athens dissolved into a dictatorship.

How do you know, ours has been sabotaged for quite some time?! ...

(a little sarcasm btw because you have clout)
