“Which America do people want to live in?”

Democrats might have an enthusiasm problem heading into November’s midterms, but they might consider that a whole lot of Americans — even many in red states — do not want to go back 60 years. They have no interest in a reactionary White movement run by Ivy League senators affecting a rural twang and inveighing get against elites.

Democrats must use this to contrast their party with Republicans: Forward vs. backward. Progress vs. chaos. Respect vs. bullying. Freedom vs. theocracy. Such a message would transcend race, especially among Americans with the most to lose. “Which America do people want to live in?” may be the defining question for the upcoming election and many to follow.

We rural folk grow your food. Don't ever forget that if the proverbial "shit hits the fan." We're ready. Are you?

One without Communists. The one we built and Communists are trying to take. :|

It ain't theirs to take and it will go very wrong for them.

Back in my day, the way you dealt with a bully is punch him in the nose as hard as you can and keep hitting him until he hollers "uncle".

You are regressive, not progressive. People like you are the bullies. America ain't gonna play your game, I'll tell you now.

Well, let's see...

In the US there are blue states like, California, Illinois, or New York that are being depopulated at an increasing rate that even bussing in thousands of illegals can't make up for. Yet these are supposedly the very states that the OP argues should be the ones everyone wants to live in. Why is that?

Where did I say anything about New York or California?

It was implied in your original post:

It's quite obvious by the movement of population that most people don't want to live in a state run by Democrats. That's why those states are losing population rapidly. You can blather on all you--and that op ed writer--want to the contrary, but people are voting with their feet and that proves the op ed writer absolutely wrong.

New York and California were not implied. You have reading comprehension problems.

You are one really dense moron...

“Which America do people want to live in?”

By the fact that blue states are being depopulated in favor of moving to red states, there is an absolute proof that people don't like living under Democrat rule. That means--by implication--that states like California, Illinois, and New York, all run by Democrats like forever, are states people no longer want to live in. That proves the op ed writer totally wrong.

Clearly about the ideas motivating people, not literal locations. You're a fucking idiot

What, people aren't motivated by the politics where they live and choose to move elsewhere because of those? Seems to me that local politics influence such decisions for many people. Otherwise, why would people be fleeing blue states in mass for red states?

Doesn't it make sense that if they were against red state (Republican) politics, they'd be moving to blue (Democrat) states for the same reasons?

For jobs?! This is a hard concept for you?!

I guess you refuse to discuss the topic of the thread.

I am discussing it. I'm calling the op ed writer you cited in your OP a delusional, retarded, moron in not so many words and using as proof of that the movement of population between states. After all, if what the op ed writer claims is true, why would people remain in red states instead of moving to blue ones? Why, for the same reason would business and industry flee to red states from blue states?
