I am a registered Independent (capital "I" Independent.) I have several friends who also are. Most of us fear the Republican Party much more than any foreign enemy. We hold that party in contempt for what it has become. Most of us will vote for the Democrat in any nationwide race with a Republican.




I feel much better that Trump is out of the White House...and that Joe Biden is president rather than that dimwitted, ignorant, clueless, classless, disgusting boor.

Well said, Frank. I also am a registered Independent (2008) after being a registered Republican for 40 years. But since I freely voice my disdain for Trump, the TrumpTards call me a commie leftist. After seeing what this RepubliQan Party has turned into, seems I made the 'right' choice.

They have taken what at one time was a decent political party...and transported it much further down a path it ought not to be travelling.

At present, the party is so dependent on the basest element of American society, it cannot prevail without meeting the demands of that element. Moderation simply can no longer exist in that party .

And it's all because of Trump. His caustic and vitriolic style has spread throughout the party and it's emboldened the sleaziest part (Proud Boys, Qanon, KKK, White Supremacists, etc.). That's what I can never accept. I want nothing to do with those groups. And the actions of MTG, Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert, Jim Jordan, Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley and other RepubliQans in Congress doesn't help.

But as you say, the worst of Biden is still light years better than the best of trump.
