It's the same thing towns do when a community votes against raising a schools budget. The first thing they'll cut are school lunches or bus programs, even though those things make up paltry parts of the budget. It's a spite cut, that doesn't accomplish anything real, other than to stick it to those that voted against them.

After you get your emotional outbursts under control, perhaps you could come back to the real point. Obama just cut those peoples jobs... a 1.2% reduction in spending does not require job cuts unless there are no other alternatives. Now, are you suggesting that he had no choice? That those people had to lose their jobs? That there is no government waste he could have cut instead of cutting jobs?

Obama just fucked over the workers that do the tours for what? Because he wanted to show the public how much 'pain' that evil cut of 1.2% would cause. He chose to fuck over workers to try and make a political point. The point he ended up making was that he could care less about jobs or the workers.

I know that Republicans don't like to talk about the specific things they want to cut, but I never thought I'd see the day that they'd be so damned upset about the loss of such an important program like White House tours.

I know Democrats pretend they care about the average worker, but it is amazing how many have openly come out and stated they don't care that Obama is needlessly laying off workers so that he can maintain the mirage of 'horror' that 1.2% in cuts would cause. Workers... fuck you... it is Obama's image that matters.

Oh okay. So anyway, any new information on the people terrified by this news? I am getting old, although, parenthetically, still haven't hit the 5-0 that I have been accused of being for 5 years now, it will eventually happen, I'm closer now!...so old that I actually remember NYC shutting down, and my being caught in a Penn Station horror show...over a fucking sandwich left on a train. This was in the big "chemical weapon attack imminent!" scare during the very well-produced run up to the Iraq War II movie. So I know fear mongering, and listen, this is probably right up there with that, I'm not arguing with you, I just want names, who pissed their pants over this news? I would like to be able to calm their fears. You know, as someone who's been through something nearly as traumatic as a cancelled white house tour.
