The US would be “lucky” if Donald Trump remained in office for a constitutionally prohibited third term, the White House has said following revelations that he discussed the possibility with the lawyer and constitutional scholar Alan Dershowitz.

Dershowitz argued a different interpretation when presenting Trump with a copy of his book, entitled Could President Trump Constitutionally Serve a Third Term? – due to be published next year – in a meeting in the Oval Office.

“I said ‘it’s not clear if a president can become a third term president and it’s not clear if it’s permissible,’” Dershowitz told the Journal.

The house itself or the current infection of tRumplings said that?

Trump is not the sanest person on this planet.

He'd lose a third election anyway.
trump won the third election already. Remember, it was about a year ago. If he followed the standard rules, he would need a fourth election to get a third term, but trump is trying to think outside the box.

He's very unwell. I doubt he'll last this term.

Yet no one is stopping him.
Trump is his own worst enemy; years of fatty foods, little to no exercise, overweight, years of abusing Adderall and a bout of COVID caused by his own policies that likely damaged his heart.

I'm guessing the combination of all the above will result in the Trump parade he always wanted with him as the guest of honor on a caisson and the largest crowd of cheering Americans evah!!!

The White House,a building, talks? It should say Trump's staff wants him to have an illegal, unconstitutional 3rd term. That is not very meaningful.

Irrelevant....Trump is very unlikely to be President a year from now......waiting till the midterms to throw him out was the original plan but the Empire is collapsing too rapidly to wait that long.
