There are many factors that could be causing white people to die off. Middle-aged white men have been kicking the bucket at higher numbers in recent years because of drug abuse, suicide, and unhealthy dieting and exercise habits. Researches think that some of the other factors responsible for the decline include the recession in the 2000s, an aging white population, low fertility rates and a drop in women of childbearing age.

“The white population isn’t replacing itself,” said Ken Johnson, co-author of the study, in a Time magazine piece. “That accelerates the growing diversity of the American population.”

According to the most recent census, white people are expected to be a minority in the country by the 2040s, with a huge decline starting some time around the year 2025. (and time flys)
