Whitney died... Some perspective

Most people are inconsequential, famous people are just that, famous, news services report the news and the news is that the person everyone knew is dead rather than the person nobody knew. It's rather depressing soldiers deserve better but reporting on every dead soldier would not make the media popular.

such deaths are usually posted locally when the soldier 'comes home', but they should be posted nationally either when they occur or weekly

i think that our media are cowards for not posting said deaths

I appreciate the serviceman's sacrifice...but he volunteered for service, well aware of the risks to life and limb. We owe him our thanks and gratitude, and his family should be compensated for their loss. But the comparison is apples and oranges. A singular pop icon compared to a military man, one of thousands, hundreds of thousands, who are in service, willingly...sometimes fighting unjust wars, and killing innocents. I fail to see the connection.

Precisely. If deaths were posted and flashed over the airwaves....war would stop, or never be waged.

Whitney was a drug addict. She was one of the best female vocalists I have ever heard. I would personally place her behind Aretha Franklin on the all time female vocalists. But she was also a drug addict and a victim of abuse by the cowardly piece of shit she married. (I am sure poet approves of the beat downs she received as she likely 'deserved' them)

The above having been said, I could care less that she died. The faux caring displayed last night was pathetic. If they all cared so much, why the fuck didn't they help her out when she was alive.

Oh, what a coward's approach! Don't try to turn the Gov. Brewer V. President Obama incident, and my support for President Obama and his class reaction to a shrew, pointing fingers in his face and disrespecting the office of the Presidency, into capitulation against accusations of misogyny and disrespect for women.
For clarity, I respect women...perhaps moreso, than anyone here. I am in touch with my feminine side. I hold my mother in the absolute highest regard. I treat women with respect, care, concern, and sympathy, as a result. But let me be clear. If a woman (and I use the term "loosely") is aggressive towards me, "unprovoked", and thinks she can wave a finger in my face, or worst, attack me....she just made the worst mistake of her life. I will defend myself, and make an effort not to wind up a statistic, at the hands of a human being (albeit, a female) , who is fully capable of injuring me, or worse. Women don't get a pass at aggression, or violence, or retribution, simply because they are women. Women go to jail, just like men, for assault and murder. Like I said before...I don't initiate any aggression toward women, but I won't back down either. Sometimes there is no time to call the police, get away, or to react "positively". "Homicide" is inaptly named.
You, among others, have twisted my words. Fine. I expect as much. When you have no solid argument, you hit below the belt. No woman deserves a "beat down". Did you get that? I certainly think Whitney could have married better than Bobby Brown, whom I never liked. I feel he aided in her demise. Did you get that?

You could care less that she died. Contradicts you voicing opposition to her "beat downs". Which is it? Or are you just "posturing"? Playing to the crowd....attention whore that you are.
Faux caring? Who the fuck are you to call it? You don't even care, remember? Make up your mind.
Why didn't they help her out when she was alive? What were they supposed to do? Watch her, 24/7/365. Tie her up, lock her away? Addicts are some of the most resourceful and determined people on the planet. You're an idiot. As well as a race-baiter.

The finger pointing and your response to it is what displayed YOUR cowardly attitude towards women.

For clarity, I respect women...perhaps moreso, than anyone here.

No, you clearly do not. Your responses on that Brewer thread prove that. Your attitude towards women is akin to that found in the 1950's. Your words condemned you with regards to how you view women.

I am in touch with my feminine side. I hold my mother in the absolute highest regard. I treat women with respect, care, concern, and sympathy, as a result.

Yet again, your words from the other thread suggest that you do not respect women.

But let me be clear. If a woman (and I use the term "loosely") is aggressive towards me, "unprovoked", and thinks she can wave a finger in my face, or worst, attack me....she just made the worst mistake of her life. LMAO... so you respect women, yet you are going to 'defend' yourself against finger pointing? Seriously?

Do link us up to these 'statistics' you keep referencing.

Yet on the other thread you said that if a woman wasn't acting 'womanly' enough for you it was ok to hit her. Then you went off on some bizarre 'lesbians might stab me' rant as some sort of justification for your cowardice.

You could care less that she died.

Very good poet. Did you actually figure that out on your own by reading my comment that stated clearly that I could care less that she died? You are indeed a bright one.

Contradicts you voicing opposition to her "beat downs". Which is it? Or are you just "posturing"? Playing to the crowd....attention whore that you are.
Faux caring? Who the fuck are you to call it? You don't even care, remember? Make up your mind.

Not caring that some celebrity died is quite different than not caring about anything that happened during her life. As I stated, I loved her voice. As I stated, I think that fucking coward that beat her is a pathetic piece of shit. I think it abhorrent that any woman ever be put through that. Being concerned about domestic violence is not negated by the fact that I don't care that another celebrity overdosed or died. You should look up the term contradiction. You clearly have no idea what it means.

Why didn't they help her out when she was alive? What were they supposed to do? Watch her, 24/7/365. Tie her up, lock her away? Addicts are some of the most resourceful and determined people on the planet. You're an idiot. As well as a race-baiter.

You are right. There is obviously nothing anyone could have done more to help her. Race baiter? What the fuck does this have to do with race? Where did I even mention race?

I disagree. It's part of the territory when you serve. In my mind, it makes the sacrifice one made far more noble, because it's almost a guarantee that you will remain obscure.

just becuase the only pussy you can claim is on a horse you don't need to share that you know what it looks like. Moron

Glad you managed to stop your man orgy long enough to reply. Clearly the massive amounts of semen have affected your brain however, as you are still stupid beyond belief.

Bush caused the national media blackout of dead soldiers.
While I respect your personal reasoning, I disagree and believe that everyone should be aware of the human costs.

You can't help an addict until they reach bottom and are receptive to it. She was in rehab a couple of times but it didn't take.
