There's no way of knowing what the support was for the revolution. Moreover, France essentially won the revolution for the US (that, an an exhausted, broke British Crown no longer wished to fight).

And if there was 33% support, it sure as shit didn't include any opinions from blacks, slaves, women, natives, or millions of other inhabitants of the continent.

They were pissed at the British because "The British may have triumphed militarily over their French rivals in the global conflict known as the Seven Years’ War."
