I remember when I did this on the old FP boards with CK. I went all the way to Ottawa, gave him (and everyone else) my number so he could contact me, and not a peep outta him when after I spent 8 hours on the road just to kick his ass.

No disrespect intended brother .. seriously there isn't and I have much respect for your thoughts. I'd rather not have this conversation with you then have you think it anything other than an honest conversation.
But what you just stated is the part I don't get. Disagreement is human nature .. it's life. Grabbing a gun because you're threatened and then considering "deadly force" is beyond my comprehension. I have no understanding of that. In a fight, pain will probably be inflicted and although I might take some, I'm going to give some. When it's over, everybody goes home or to the hospital.
On the rare ocassions that I've had to physically defend myself, when it's over, even knowing that the person I fought deserved the outcome, I feel badly about having to hurt someone, but I feel good about not taking it to the extreme. I can't imagine shooting an unarmed person, possibly killing them because I was afraid.
I simply have no understanding of that.

I don't. I teach mine how to fight .. even the girls. They understand the importance of attitude. I teach them all the evil of the gun. Our family doesn't even give our kids toy guns.
One should be concerned about physical harm .. without "deadly force" being the first, second, or only option. In the consideration about physical harm, is it not prudent to consider when you're faced with a challenge and you don't have your gun? What will you do without your gun? How do you protect yourself and loved ones without a gun?
I don't need a gun to protect myself or my family. I never have .. and I bet I've seen more "dangerous" situations than you have.
No disrespect brother, I just do not understand gun mentality.
