My brother .. you cannot be suggesting that the congress he's running against would be the protection that saves America from him. If that's the case .. why would we need him?
I never said that "under Paul all this would happen" because I know that he doesn't have the ability to make anything happen even if he were the president. A look at his vapid legislative record is a glaring demonstration that he doesn't know how to make things happen politically.
What I'm countering is AHZ's assertion that Paul does not serve the corporate elite. Yes he does. And I'm arguing the inconsistency of libertarian thought on corporations. You cannot be anti-corporate and for removing all limits, restrictions, and regulations on the "free market" both at the same time. It's illogical
Unleash the "free market" to do whatever they want to the American people and corporations won't need subsidies. Remove all campaign finance restrictions as Paul wants to do and corporations will simply buy the congress. Remove Supreme Court oversight from impending legislation as Paul wants to do and lobbyists will be writing the law of the land.
Whether he has the ability to accomplish his delusional myopic fantasy is not the point. These are the issues he's running on and what he believes.
Libertarians and Paul supporters want it both ways. They want Paul and libertarian thought discussed in a positive light but don't want any critique or scrutiny of what's under that light .. which is not what I'm suggesting that you're trying to do.
I actually think you nailed me, blackascoal. mark this day on your calendar.
yep. and Any libertarian who says he's for enforcing the borders is also not a real libertarian.
