Who else besides me thinks Republicans will win in 2008?

Hillary will get smeared to hell....

Barack unfortunately is black....

Edwards is a huge flip flopper....

I'd wager McCain and Giuliani could beat any of them....

And thats why i think Republicans will win the presidency in 2008.

I don't think either of them could beat any of them .. in a fair election. But rest assued, a fair election is not what's going to happen in 2008. Whether the puppetmasters can maniuplate the election enough to make it look at least somewhat credible will depend on how overwhelming the democratic vote is.

As demonstrated in 2000, the democrats better win by more than a few votes.

What they have working for them is the republicans are imploding as fast as they can. There may not be much Republican Party left by '08 at the rate their going.

As much as I want Ron Paul to win, I've got a distinct feeling that the Dems will take the White House this time 'round. That said, this bizarre phenomenon of immigration being forced into the debate frightens me. That signals to me that the most well-connected in the press and several politicians want to distract from the real issue at hand, the bullshit war for world cop empire in Iraq. The Democrats have had a knack at not playing to their potential strengths, and nominating Kerry and (likely) Hillary might jeopardize their trump card against the GOP. This country is ready for us to withdraw from policing the civil war in Iraq. Not capitalizing on this fact might cost them Dems the election, which at this point, is theirs to win.

I feel the Republicans will win the White House, although I see the dims gaining seats in both chambers...

You want to bet? $50?

Come on now, you've known me long enough to know I don't bet. I'll take a non-wager bet. But no cash. Hillery can't even answer a simple question about drivers licenses for illegals, the people want a strong executive, not a waffling person who is obviously trying to play to whatever audience is listening.

And Rudy is a dishonest warmonger. There is little decency in either party's frontrunners. Huckaby and Obama strike me a decent human beings, Ron Paul is God, and the rest of them are lying sacks of shit.

How about $5. But that's my final offer. :D

LOL

Throw in a free trial at his local Dynasty Spas dealer, and you might have yourself a bet.

btw - Ron Paul IS GOD!!!!!

I doubt the republicans will retain the White House in 08. Obama has my vote but unless a huge scandle happens, Hillary will become the president.

Its good to see you here mag. Are you still on your "single payer" kick?

And I will offer 25 minutes in a TV spa to sweeten the deal for Larry.

No, some time ago I changed my mind about health care. I saw a piece done by John Stossel that convinced me free market health care (obviously, something we do not have currently) is the best way to reduce costs and keep decisions between patients and doctors. That said, it's difficult to forsee the end of Medicare and Medicaid (for children and disabled). These people are disenfranchised in the main, and it seems a logical exception for me. Health care is easily the issue that I have taken the longest in coming around to see it from the libertarian perspective. And even still, I lean a bit left from that point of view. Shit, Ron Paul doesn't really talk about ending Medicare or Medicaid - at least not without a long transition and it's low on his priority list.

I did bet Beefy to that effect, but only because he sweetened it so much that it was hard to refuse the bet. The 10 to 1 odds he offered at the time were freaking too good to pass up. I bet $5, I get $50. I thought. Why not? I'll send Beefy $5...

It was something like that. I don't quite remember. But I'm sure we can find the thread.

I think I gave you 100 to 1 that a "Libertarian" party member wouldn't win. But we'll have to dig it up. If a Republican wins, I'll have to get a job just to pay my gambling debts.

All things equal, the democrats will win not only the White House, but they should pick up a few more seats as well. However, the democrats will do what democrats do and remain slightly less evil than republicans.

The problem isn't Democrat Party or the Republican Party, it's the system and the American people ourselves. We deserved George Bush and we will deserve whatever we get in '08. That's not a popular discussion and how dare I even say it. "Patriotism", at least the version they sold us, demands that you must be blind and about half a step above being a goosestepper.

70% of Americans are against this war and want the troops brought home.

So what? .. Big deal. Who in power really gives a fuck what Americans want? We voted in democrats to end the war .. they get into office and 30.000 MORE troops get sent to Iraq and billions and BILLIONS more dollars get sent to Iraq .. and while they're giving the people who voted for them the finger, they decide, hey .. let's sign some more Bush shit and threaten Iran .. then we'll act surprised if he nukes 'em.

Who's going to win the democratic nomination? .. Xena the War Queen. Democratic voters are antiwar? .... Sure? And whoever the republicans nominate won't be any different than Bush.

At one time Democrats and Republicans were the same party. They've simply come full circle and become the same party again.

In my opinion, Ron Paul would be the doorman to the complete implosion of American government and the end of the American empire. It would be the culmantion of the bloodless coup by the pluotcrats/puppetmasters.

You know Paul wants to remove all restrictions on corporations and campaign financing, and he doesn't even believe there should be a "United" States. He believes America should be broken up into smaller nation-states.

"Why do we need the federal government? There's no Cold War and no Communist threat. Many other nations are breaking into smaller and smaller pieces. The centralization of power in Washington occurred in a different time. Why not think about getting rid of the federal government, returning to the system of our Founders, and breaking up the United States into smaller government units? .. (Austin Chronicle, 1996)

We could be Europe, or just allow corporations to buy states like bowl games. Could be like, Microsoft-California, Chevron-Texas, Bloomberg-New York, or Franks Pork Belly-Mississippi.

The immigration issue is proof of how easily we are manipulated. The press are the strings that are attached to the American brain. The puppetmasters pull those strings to make us dance.

What can the American people do to regain control of our government and wrest control from the corporate will?

Not a goddamn thing.

ZERO

We refuse to take the red pill and wake up. Our illusion is too comfortable and our fear too deep.

"... all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."

Shit like that takes courage .. courage that we don't have.
