My wife and I got thr J&J yesterday, in and out in 30 minutes, no side effects. The rest of my family got Moderna. My sister, an RN, was sleepy and sore for one day, now she’s fine and back to work saving lives.

really?.....because when I was given the shot they specifically said that it would be two weeks before we could trust the vaccine would be effective......perhaps it isn't that you know more than the medical personnel working at the vaccination site but just that you have your head up your ass again.......

It is two weeks before it is known to prevent symptoms. It is not known how well it prevents contagion, so there is no time limit on social distancing. Social distancing is not exactly quarantining. You should be doing social distancing before you get the shot, and after you get the shot.

The functioning of the vaccines is nebulous to non-medical people. It says the vaccine works at the RNA/DNA level . It gives your DNA "instructions to make a harmless kind of Corona virus. Your body then makes antibodies to fight it off. Then, if you get the real thing, your body will remember the virus and quickly make white cells to defeat it. Couldn't they have sent an email?
