There are 35 Senate seats up for a vote in 2022. 14 of them are Democrats, and 21 are Republicans. Republicans need to flip more seats than the Democrats flip. So they must win 22 elections out of 35, just to win. That is 63% of the elections.

That is how it works. I do not need to "hope", it is what it is.

Going out on a limb here, but I think Fetterman and Ryan are going to win handily because their opponents are just so terrible.

I also think Warnock will cruise to an easy re-election because Walker vastly overestimates Trump's support in the state.

I think almost all the Republicans and Democrats in the House will be reelected. Of those that retire, or lose their primaries, almost all will be replaced by someone in their own party. These congressional districts are designed to make sure one party will probably win.

But there will be a few races that are up for grabs. Those few races will decide who controls the House.

In those few races, Republicans will claim that Democrats want to get rid of the police... And now Democrats will be able to prove that Republicans want to kill the police. That is not a good look for Republicans.
