if you can't get an id in a four year time span, you are a prole, and I don't want you voting. Voting for your leaders is one of the most important duties a citizen can do. You are directly participating in the shaping of your nation. Maybe you should have to go slightly out of your way? Even if you were to convince me it's just a shit test, I wouldn't care. The bottom line is if you are too fucking stupid, or lazy to do something so basic like actively seeking out a photo ID, then you aren't ready for the big boy leagues. If you can't do that, you shouldn't be voting. Tough potatoes.

four years? these laws have been passed this year and people working long hours or multiple jobs do not have the resources to jump through the hoops the new laws require...especially if they do not drive

It's fucking stupid. My wife is soon to be a naturlized citizen. When I told her all she would have to go through and all the documentation she would need to prove her citizenship to register to vote when she recieves her citizenship she was a real unhappy camper. Particularly when she found out alls I need to do is sign a form and provide my address and last 4 digits of my SS#. It's discrimination against naturalized citizens, plain and simple. So Republicans ended up alienating someone who leans Republican. It's just stupid I tell you.
