I support him in spirit, but I don't live in Michigan. He sounds like a strong conservative with a love of country, and a dedicated family man.

I don't live in Michigan but would vote for him if I did. However, I have family in Michigan that will.
The difference between the left and the right is that the latter will vote for someone based on what they believe without regard to color while the former will vote based on color without regard to what they believe.
BAC and TTQ already consider him an Uncle Tom.

Seems you forgot about the 40 years of black Democrat mayors in Detroit prior to the current Democrat in office. Interesting thing is in Detroit during that 40 year black tenure, things went way south economically. They finally elected a white guy, although a Democrat, to try and fix the situation 40 years of black mayors fucked up.
When it came to the 2008/2012 presidential election, 95% of blacks voted that way without regard to anything but color. Millions more blacks voted for the first time in that election that could have voted in many elections prior to that and you want to tell me it was a coincidence they came out to the polls then.
