Yes, those do. If the land was unclaimed and unoccupied like much of the Americas were in 1492, then there is no "immigration" only settlement of it. I don't ignore things like the Spanish Conquistadors either. In most cases, Spain and troops arrived, they fought a war with the locals. The locals lost and the Spanish claimed their land as spoils of victory. Very common practice at the time regardless of who the combatants were.
