Why are people still talking about Newtown?

Like Benghazi? Four adults die in the line of duty in a hostile land versus twenty children slaughtered here in America in their hometown schoolroom.

I certainly have. I know that the GOP has the NRA's dick so far up their ass that gun control won't happen until we have another twenty Newtown's, and even then it'll be tough. That's life - and death - in America. I'm glad my youngest only has one more year of law school so she'll be out of that environment... And I'm glad I moved away.

In the first case, it was caused by incompetence, in the second, its mental illness.....the first can be cured, the second can't be.

The Constitution shouldn't be decide how you determine right and wrong. That's your job, not anyone else's. bravo, you're a really profoundly pathetic individual if you don't hold your own values above those of the founding fathers.

Oh, we could shitcan the entire Bill of Rights and Constitution and FORCE everyone to live for what those in power consider 'right' and 'for the good of society'...is

Stop denying the existence of evil, social and mental deviates, and enforce the laws....and most of your concerns would be minimal.....

You act as if there's not large scale subjugation going on because of the text of the constitution. The kind of brutality that it allows and endorses is something we as a nation need to overcome. bravo, the constitution isn't standing between us and tyranny, it's standing between us and liberty.

Also, I've made it clear that I'm in support of gun rights.

If you like wintery stuff, Maine has it all. That's what I quit liking so we left. The summers there are absolutely glorious, however. Steamed lobsters right off the boat in a little seaside restaurant is as close to heaven as I've ever been. If you like to golf, Belgrade Lakes is always on Golf Digest's top 25 list.

I never ask WHY we NEED it....I asked for opinions on what people think about those that exercise it, during questioning, after they claim they are innocent of any crime....

I think thats a contradiction in most cases unless you are actually accused and on trial for a particular crime....but

Actually, the law 'experts' had some very good opinions on the whole issue.......and some interesting and valid reasons for taking the fifth in some circumstances....

Now we're all learning something about ignoring demands for gov. records and subpeona's from government officials doing investigations and others hiding the truth
from the voters that have put our trust in them.....the hypocrisy of our governments highest officials in the executive branch alone is an education.
