Why are racists drawn to the Republican party, and to Trump in particular?

People say that the Democratic party is the real racist party, and history actually supports this to some extent. The question is, why have the racists largely moved to the Republican party? Why is Trump supported in large numbers by neo-Nazis and white supremacists like Richard Spencer? Why not the Democrats?

The Democratic Party came to represent decent people by the 'thirties, and the Republicans went all out to capture the racist vote in the South after Lyndon Johnson chose decency. Current Nazis are hugely attracted by Trump's ability simply to deny reality. It will only last while the illusion persists that all Americans are rich and can grow richer.

I don't know who that is, or if he's racist, or why he is drawn to the Democratic party. All I know is that white power nationalists support Trump, and not anyone from the Democratic party. Why is that?

First you have to understand the true definition of what a racist is, an individual with a strong hatred of another accompanied by the financial power to control or oppress.

Prejudice individuals (majority poor) look to tRump as a great white hope to make themselves feel better about their seemingly inability to compete with ones they feel they should be superior to. They pray that this individual will put in place sanctions upon minorities, that will allow them to pull themselves up.

E.G a wall; which will have no direct affect on immigration (tunnels) wiping out Medicaid/Welfare, which they need more... and the list goes on.

They live in OZ and he is their wizard

I'm a woman who calls out racist whites, especially racist white men for how they have shaped this country since they stole it from the Native Americans.
