Why are right-wingers such insecure pansies about wearing masks???

Every trumper is a N4T.
So we are being asked to inconvenience ourselves by wearing masks for a few months in order to slow the spread of or hopefully contain a deadly virus.

Intelligent civilized adults on the left say "OK, that sounds like a reasonable request, even if in the end, it turns out to not have been as effective as we'd have liked it to be, it's still worth the minor inconvenience and even if it just helps a little, it's better than doing nothing."

Insecure, immature pansies on the right are afraid to be "told what to do" and can't stand having their manhood threatened (the manhood thing goes for r/w women). So, rather than adopt a cooperative attitude and team-player spirit, instead sulk, pout, whine and complain while threatening and bloviating about how they'll go to jail or similar nonsense, if anyone tries to make them wear a mask outside.

Or, I know I'm not infected at this time. The people I'm near aren't infected at this time. We're not getting close to each other or staying in each other's presence for anything more than in passing. So, why the hell do I need a mask?

Or, I'm in the middle of a parking lot headed towards a building 50 yards away. Why the hell do I need to be wearing a mask when the closest person is 40 yards away?

Or, I'm driving in my car, alone. Why the hell do I need to wear a mask going 75 mph down the interstate?

Or, some schmuck is wearing a mask with a valve on it. Those have been proven worthless. So, the guy might as well not wear a mask.

I'll wear a mask in stores when asked to. No reason to harass the employees, it's not their fault our governor made it a requirement when there's only 2 or 3 people in our local hospital with the China virus and they are only on oxygen, not on a vent.
My mother is as conservative as they get. I picked her up to take her out for lunch and she had a mask on, I told her she didn't need one to ride in a convertible!

I'm about the same way. I don't need to unnecessarily get into a fight with store employees of something like that. But I sure as hell am not going to wear one just because the governor or president or some other lame assed politician said I have to.

My mother takes the threat seriously as well. She's 93 and has stage 4 bone cancer (it's in remission at the present time), so I can understand her concern.

I, myself, am not way too concerned. Just like my friend in Florida, a person that is as "conservative as they come", isn't too concerned and has been itching to come back to teaching.

It's a novel virus. We don't know much about it. And yes I know it's silly to wear a mask outside when everyone is distancing from each other.

My GF's sister is a manager at a large department store here. She says a few people are very rude and arrogant to her when she suggests those who come there unmasked wear one because they can get closed down if they don't comply (I don't know if that's true, but the local bars and private clubs seem to be ardent on enforcing it). It's not her fault, but some must think it is.
Like I said, I wear one when asked to. I keep one in my daily driver and one on the fire extinguisher in the convertible. No reason to harass those who are working, at least, they aren't sitting at home expecting that additional $600 a week on top of their unemployment check like a lot of them are.

No politician tells me what to do either. But again, there's no reason to attack a store employee for suggesting I wear a mask in their store.

No, we didn't know anything about it from the start. China hid how contagious and lethal it was from the beginning. When Trump halted flights from China, the left was outraged. Imagine how the left would shit themselves if Trump shut down the country before it had come here in the numbers it did! They'd be screaming and crying he was a dictator (not that they think he isn't one).
A test had to be developed to identify the virus. That took time. The test had to manufactured. That also took time. Why does the left think Trump could magically come up with one immediately? The left screamed there were no ventilators. American manufacturers retooled and produced them by the thousands. Now there's a large surplus of them because they aren't needed. Testing sights have been shut down because a lack of people coming in for tests. Of course, since there's a sufficient number of tests now and they are more accurate than in the beginning, the number of positives will rise, yet the number of hospitalized has fallen (at least around here).
