Again, where will this third party be politically situated relative to the existing major ones?
If it's to the left of the Democrats, I might look at it.
If it's in the middle of the existing two, it's less than useless to me.

Pacifism, by the way, never bought us anything better than the war mongering.
It usually just resulted in higher level war mongering later on.

Young folk started a populist movement. They want to break the status quo. New unions are being formed at Amazon, Starbucks, Apple, Google and Trader Joe's. They identify as workers, not republican or democrat. You can't organize a team by rejecting those with different beliefs. That doesn't lead to collective bargaining.

When republicans vote against every pro labor bill that comes down the pike, you certainly can dismiss them out of hand.
Populism is for people who are jealous of elite thinkers, anyway.
It's not a good thing to replace the goal of becoming elite with the goal of being a sorry ass Joe Sixpack.

You want a party that has no ideological beliefs other than consensus on a few issues.
Good luck with that.

I have personally known elite minds in my decades as a union activist.
I don't know why you assume that workers have to be Joe Sixpack.

Also, middle class doesn't have anything to do with income if used properly.
It refers to small business owners and people with advanced degrees.
It does not mean "middle income," and it doesn't apply to most union members.
I have lived a reasonably privileged life, had a private school education, and never thought of myself as anything but working class.

Things are a lot different in the gig economy. The elite sent all the manufacturing overseas. The only thing we build now is bombs. Look at all the young folk who came home from Iraq with missing limbs or traumatic brain injury. These are mostly poor kids whose only option was to enlist. Take the MBTA and you'll see them everywhere.

Nope. All who join the military have countless other options but join because ultimately that's what they want. Quite a few change their minds at basic training but those who stay and eventually deploy somewhere understand the risks involved.

The military only recruits young people, not old geezers.
