Why Conservatives and Libertarians Are Mad at Illegal Immigrants...

They think illegal immigrants are using taxpayer money and training the federal coffer with education benefits, healthcare, and governmental services....

They feel that illegals are being subsidized by hardworking American citizens....

Ok fine. Lets say thats the case. They really dont care that illegals are here or not as long as they dont take extra money or live beside them.

So why dont we fucken just end the War in Iraq. Use all that money to pay for extra health, education, and services to American citizens.

Ok how about it? Conservatives and neolibertarians?

Deal or No Deal?

I'm pretty sure the main concern on illegals is they don't play by the same rules and thus throw off the competitive balance of the marketplace.

No dumbass..... Americans dont care about rules...

All Americans care about is money....They think illegal immigrants are costing the government to pay for their health, education and services...

They also think illegals are taking money away from Americans....

Fuck the marketplace....What a dumb Republican answer...

I'm mbl.

Cool, good to hear from you MBL. Didn't know that was you. Anyway the offers good if your ever in this neck of the woods.

I love how illegal immigrants turn into partners with Al Qaeda in the Neoconservative movement...

I'm pretty conservative and your dismissal of the worry is unfounded. There are good reasons to assume that with the porous border to the South, Spanish speaking terrorists could have an easy in.

Speaking just for me, however. My biggest concern with illegal immigration is not terrorism, rather a combination of the exploitation of the immigrants and their refusal to 'assimilate.' I don't blame them for the later, they are not entering planning on staying, yet they do. So do their children.

The "competitive balance of the marketplace" is a myth -- and a bogus one at that -- to begin with. Secondly, there's little if any solid evidence that illegal immigrants take any federal or state subsidies or benefits that they don't, collectively, more than make up for in lost taxes.

Finally, while, to some extent, illegals may be taking jobs that Americans would otherwise fill, the jobs in question tend to be very low wage, low benefit jobs for which there's little demand among U.S. workers and which tend to be in locations inaccessible to most U.S. low wage earners. A guy sitting on a street corner in Detroit ain't gonna pick artichokes in Monterey County and, if he did, he'd only do so for far higher wages than are currently being offered.

I don't like seeing Americans idled by lack of jobs. Still, I don't like seeing Mexicans or Guatemalans unemployed either. These aren't, by and large, the sort of jobs that are going to make much difference to unemployed Americans.

To put it another way, I think that the anger at illegal immigrants has been blown WAAAAaaay out of proportion amongst many Americans. It's comically overstated and really rather pointless.

Libertarians aren't "mad" at illegal immigrants. Libertarians believe that they have a right to live where they wish. Libertarians would be more angry at the idea of their status, where they are treated as poorly as the employer wishes, giving the employer the power of force over the individual. The government works in tandem with the employers to create "cheap" labor that winds up costing far more in the long run, in both societal issues and monetary.

Now any sane person could realize that the open borders create a problem when considering terrorism. Shoot, the only sure terrorists we have caught crossing the border came from your neck of the woods. You can keep them.

"The competitive balance of the marketplace"

The competitive balance of the marketplace is sending American jobs overseas where bigger profits can be made.

There is no such thing as "patriotism" is the bottom line.

Well, the wages are low because there is a glut of illegals working in violation of federal law. It's actually kind of a chicken and egg kind of thing.

It gets worse. There's actually a contraption called the "Spinning Jenny" which will not only take away American jobs, it will give them to machines!
This is an outrage, what would life be like if we "lost" those jobs?
We can't let this happen, we won't let this happen and we can't let this happen!
I've got my pitchfork and torch fired up, are you with me brother? Let's go smash up some "Spinning Jennies" and save those jobs to get America back to what it was!

If there are differant rules for differant people that throws off competitive balance pretty simple concept.

WHo will businesses sell to with no workers to buy the products? You really need to think more deeply about your worldview and confused sense of morality.
