Why did Trump steal the document hide them and was totally unwilling to give them up

There are a few possibilities but only one that holds up and that is to sell them to our enemy's to use against this country. The worst of the worst of the leaders in this world are highly regarded by Trump , he thinks they are smart ,good leaders and men to be respected. You know the Art of the Deal, he is as low as needed to do this ,he has no honor, he is the worst thing to happen to this country. There is no man low enough in this country to do this other than him.

No doubt he intended to make money from selling US secrets or blackmailing people.

Why would he have to give them documents when he could just call up any world leader and tell them the information over a secured phone?

Maybe for the same reasons Joke Biden did, only Trump locked them in a closet rather than leave them in an office he never used, and his garage...

You think trump can read documents over the phone? Even if he could read, which is an open question, he could not quickly enough read to get much information over the phone.

They alerted the authorities and invited them in to look and handed them over



Trump was asked for them by authorities and he lied and lied and lied and lied about the documents for months until they had to raid his ass to get them back

Might have been selfish in a different, less nefarious way. Saw a bit the other day about Trump's obsession with collecting things. His Trump Towers office is full stuff, even a dozen or more football helmets used by famous NFL players, the speculation being that, like the helmets, having the important document in his possession adds to his embattled sense of self worth.

That’s easy, because he knew they had value and someday he might be able to use them for his own personal benefit, isn’t that why Trump does everything
