Why didn't the dems try to win New Jersey

We know why the establishment GOP didn't want to win in Virginia. They would rather have lost Virginia if it meant they could hold power.

But the real question is why didn't the dems want to win in New Jersey? Why did they leave their female nominee hang out to dry? How is it Christie is all of a sudden a media darling? What happened to all of their hatred over the guy who was ruining public education? Have they forgotten?

Or do they think they have another McCain that they can love on and flatter and when he gets the nomination BOOM hit him in the fucking mouth?


My sense is it is more the latter. I of course won't participate. I have stated before and I reiterate, I will not ever support Chris Christie for President. It will be fun to watch his fat ass come crashing down like McCain did
 
the only meaningful reason that Christie won in NJ is that he is perceived by the voters there as being moderate enough to capture the center of the bell curve. I have my doubts as to whether the tea baggers and the bible thumpers in the GOP will refrain from attacking him during the primary process. He may very well be ELECTABLE... I just don't think he will be able to be nominated.
 
I like his ability to not constantly berate and attack people for not agreeing with him 100%. He can be caustic so its interesting to recognize this ability he seems to have found in the last year or so. There are plenty of clips of his angry mouth jabbing at people what will come to haunt him. He has the ability to relent when the people want something he has disagreed with, such as gay marriage.

I will not likely be voting for him, but I like his personality.

Sure he is playing a roll, trying to act like the guy the people want and will like, but at least the roll he chose is likable and not angry, mean or arrogant. I doubt he can beat Hillary Clinton, but he can come closer than some radical barn burning conservative.
 
TO get the Republican nomination I suspect he would have to go so far right that he cant make it back center enough before election day. Romney proved that its not so easy to etch-a-sketch back to the middle.
 
My money is still on the Repugs being dumb enough to nominate Jeb Bush.
 
Hmm, yet nobody answered the original question which is why didn't the dems try to win New Jersey? They pretty much left the female candidate for dead. They did less for her than the GOP did for Cuccinelli.

I think they calculated that they could not win.

The Dems couldn't find a way to cheat in two States. :)
