The Gulf of Trump/America is a diversion. When you talk about that, you are taking a break from discussing Trump's corruption and lies. It is what the Republican social issues are for too. It fits Trump's rally speeches . He went off on tangents and wound up making noise.

Trump has no corruption and no lies. Corruption and lies are what fuel the failing dem party on a daily basis.
As he bragged on television in his first campaign: "I could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and not lose any votes." To his supporters he's a Christ figure, a man with "no corruption and no lies." How he does it is anyone's guess.
A statement like that made about a 34-time guilty felon Trump is why we laugh at you and feel sorry for you.

Actually, thinking about this, the Democrats don't particularly hate America, as much as they hate you, me, and anyone or thing they disagree with.
Today, the Democrat party has moved to the radical Left and for all intents has now focused itself on four political / social / cultural issues:
Visceral TDS / hatred of anything Trump or related to Trump. This one is pretty self-explanatory.
Perpetual victimhood. You are either a victim or an oppressor. Reparations for Blacks and slavery. BLM. CRT. Disparate Impact Theory. White privilege. Racist highways. DEI. It's all about defining yourself as a victim and that in turn makes you deserving of free stuff from others and the government.
Identity politics. This goes hand-in-hand with perpetual victimhood. Everything is defined in terms of race, gender, sexual orientation, class status, and the like. Again, as in CRT where you are either a victim of racism or a racist based not on your actions but rather on your race. You are who your group is. Individuality and being judged on your character and actions are ignored entirely.
Cultural, intellectual, and social snobbery. The radical Left firmly believes they are your superiors in every way. They KNOW what's best for YOU and yours. All you have to do is look at how they view those that disagree with them to see this. "They cling to their guns and their bibles..."
David Hogg did this with his comment about connecting to younger voters outside the Left, "They want to get laid and have fun..."
AOC and Crockett are two leading examples of this sort of dreck that is dragging their party down to irrelevance. They can't and don't appeal to anyone other than like-minded head bobbers on the radical Left. At the same time, they spend no time doing a damn thing for the average person in the district they represent. Come on, AOC forced Amazon to not put a center in her district losing out on thousands of jobs simply because she disagreed with Amazon's CEO's politics. It's that sort of shit that is killing off the Democrat party.

The other problem with the Left--and facing the Democrat party--is that they see the world, except I guess for sex / gender, in a binary fashion. That is, for the Left you are either with them or against them. There is no middle ground or compromise with the Left.
