Why do oil companies need taxpayer subsidies?

Americans are getting hit twice — once at the gas pump, and once more by sending billions of dollars in tax subsidies to oil companies.


Republicans said cutting the tax breaks would lead to higher fuel prices...:palm:
 
you do realize all the breaks (not subsidies) are not specifically for oil companies

tell me...in a time of exhorbant gas prices, why do you think it is a good idea to tax gas companies more? how about the feds cut taxes at the pump?
