I'd like to see global travel made simpler, and less expensive as well. When we stay insular within our own borders we miss so much. Plus being exposed to other cultures makes us less likely to fear and dislike them. I have not heard of any calls to remove sovereignty from the U.S. or elsewhere. Have you?

I have given up on the EU, but not because it is part of a mythical "new world order". My concerns are:
1. EU governance is paternalist and undemocratic. The European Commission is not elected but appointed by horse-trading among member governments (naturally the most powerful ones have the biggest say). The European Parliament is a farce. Most people don't know who their MEP is, and they don't care either, because the Parliament has never exercised any authority.
2. EU economic arrangements, especially the one-size-fits-all euro, have failed all except the richest members. Some Mediterranean states have been turned into economic basket cases with stagnating economies and massive unemployment especially among the young.
And nobody is doing anything to address these issues. To the ideologues who run it, THE PROJECT is far more important than the people.
Americans wouldn't put up with that for five minutes. But they expect Europeans to?

The New World Order first attained mythic prominence after the collapse of the Soviet Union, when Birchites and the like suddenly found themselves without a boogeyman. That was when they discovered it wasn't Communism as such that was the menace, it was the New World Order!
Bush 41 helpfully mentioned the NWO in a speech, but he certainly didn't mean what the Birchites meant by it. That didn't stop them latching on to it. Gorbachev mentioned it too, but he said they had failed to achieve it in the 1990s. Obviously he was covering up.

Do you think it would be fair for our contributions to be the same as Montenegros? Do tyou realize that NATO was designed as a wall aaginst Russian aggression.
