But just taking away help from the poor apparently isn't enough. His tariffs are causing food prices and other things to rise. Many poor do not work hard. They take advantage of a system that gives them more than they could earn. Yes, there are working poor who want to better themselves too, but sorting out the difference isn't easy. Worse, you eventually run out of people you can rob to pay for the social-welfare system. Then everybody is equally poor.
Trump, Musk, and other billionaires aren't robbing me. The government on the other hand... Nearly 60% of the federal budget today goes to support the social-welfare state. That percentage is growing too.
