Why does the left believe in fairy tales like " tax the rich"?

12 out of the last 16 years have been led by democrat Presidents. WHY haven't they leveled the playing field in all that time? WHY haven't they made the rich " pay their fair share" as they say? WHY? Is it because the last two Democrat Presidents were impotent and stupid or is it because that was never their aim in the first place?
Are you saying you do not know how bills are passed? That would make sense. /search?q=fraggle+rock+I+am+a+bill&oq=fraggle+rock+I+am+a+bill&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQIRigATIHCAIQIRigATIHCAMQIRigATIHCAQQIRigATIHCAUQIRigATIHCAYQIRirAtIBCTk2ODZqMGoxNagCCLACAQ&

Rightys are so certain of what is absolutely wrong. The wealth gap in America just gets wider and wider. Money= power. https://inequality.org/facts/wealth-inequality/
Trump jacked the gap up bigly and he made it clear, it will accelerate if he gets back in.
So, you believe in politics by envy hum? The wealth gap isn't because of billionaires, it's because of government. More government means less wealth for the average person. It also tends to make the very rich richer. It favors big corporations and companies heavily.

People like Steve Jobs and companies like Apple gave us revolutionary products that have improved the lives of billions. Jeff Bezos and Amazon have likewise improved people's lives by making an astounding number of goods available wherever you live. Earlier billionaires (by today's standards) like Carnegie and Rockefeller not only built business empires that allowed the US to become an economic powerhouse, they also in their later years gave the public things like public libraries and institutions of higher education that improved lives of millions on their own.

You want to castigate them for their success, and like that fool Marx, strip them of their wealth to squander it in penny packets on nothing in particular. There's a reason Socialist countries are dirt poor and backwards. They don't generate wealth in anywhere near as great as Capitalist societies do.

So, Leftists like you, employ the politics of envy to create strife between various economic classes in a society to bring the whole down into equally shared misery and poverty. I'll pass.

And therein lies your problem. The people you talk about have been replaced by hedge fund managers and venture capitalists that produce NOTHING. But that’s beside the point. Oligarchies fail. That’s what YOU are voting for. You who isn’t? Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Warren Buffet, Mark Cuban , etc. They know better. The hedge fund managers don’t care. You are their useful idiot. And to a lesser extent mine. So thank you. Scrub some floors, serf.

Not one of the top 25 billionaires in the US is a hedge fund manager. The first one of those is in 39th position, Ken Griffin. The next is in 62nd, Marilyn Simons.

In fact, the billionaire's list worldwide is dominated by those that invent, produce, trade goods, and invest in things like real estate and resources. Hedge fund managers and venture capitalists and the like are a rarity.

So, you've bought into another lie of the Left.

Democrats= the party of the working class :rolleyes2: Odd how the Billionaire class keeps funding them election cycle after election cycle.
Not gonna lie. I'm happy with my investments, even though I'd rather see lower prices at the grocery store. The wealthy and the corporations own our govt.. That's not going to change without a fight.

If corporations took their massive tax cuts and brought manufacturing back to this nation, quite a few Democrats would be happy to support said tax cuts.

But they didn't. They raised CEO pay, increased dividends to investors (thank you...appreciate it) and bought back shares of stock further inflating said share prices. They didn't increase jobs or salary.

So they should start paying taxes unless they want to support workers in THIS country.

In the off years, there are always massive tax cuts that work to facilitate the opposite.

The parties have completely realigned....the D's actively threw the working class overboard starting during Clinton. It is only in the last few years that the largely ignorant American people have begun to figure it out.

You appear to share the same economic knowledge as your cult brethren. Unless you are a totally transactional business person, the wealth gap is bad for business. When you invest you have less money until there is a return on your investment. If I am a rich guy with billions in the bank it makes sense to put those billions in the hands of consumers who will buy my goods. I’m wealthy and would be happy to see an increase in long term capital gains rates if the country is investing in putting people to work with that money. Because….wait for it… they will BUY SHIT that increases the profits of the companies I own stick in. Your question is simplistic. So I assume you are either trolling or you failed Econ 101. Either way, you have your answer. Feel free to post a rebuttal.
It boggles the mind. Even before offshoring escalated, the wealthy ended up with the money for the reason you stated. They got so greedy, they needed even more profits.

Funny as it sounds, Ross Perot was a visionary.

The D party is now the party of the New Slavers and the slaves they have captured.

So is the R Party....MGAG, which gets crushed starting Jan, is the resistance.

I guess the real question is, "Why don't you know how the US government works?"
