Why does trump want to let ppl on food stamps get jerkey, spray cheese and queso dip

Over the last few years I have seen a flood of cheap, frozen Tilapia, farm raised in the poison water of china........

When it first came out here it was from the Philippines but I found they were hiding the sources so I stopped buying it......

How feasible is sourcing local??

Very. And sustainable. There are sites like this : https://localcatch.org/, and others, apps etc. If one wants local, it is there. One of the best ways though, if you around the water, is to speak with the local fishermen. Show an interest in what they do and how they do it. You will probably not only make a friend for life, you will more than likely get the freshest seafood possible without any middleman markup.

Ignore Top, and RB. Things seem OK with Grumpy, and others, so just keep to the peace train. If they don't want to board, it's on them, if you just ignore them.

No, I mean strippers..lol.. You use a different pole......:whome: lol

So how can that play in a food desert??

That is part of the problem, while they are forced~pushed to carry certain products, perishables, they don't sell in a timely manner..

Da gubment nor the owner can change that.... If there is a demand for healthier products I see no reason why they would say "we aint selling that"...

A better informed consumer would hopefully make better choices but who knows..

I have seen several documentaries about this & one of the things that keeps coming up is price.. You can buy a box of cereal for the price of a head of lettuce.. Fresh veggies are not cheap or perhaps as filling as high carb choices..

No question, it is far more expensive to eat healthy than to buy garbage food. I realize that every time I go on a health kick!

What is sad here is those cheap foods/fast foods/boxed pasta etc is that most of it is subsidized by the gubment.... No one is subsidizing the guy growing tomatoes or oranges..

Yes we are ....

Farm subsidies, also known as agricultural subsidies, are payments and other kinds of support extended by the U.S. federal government to certain farmers and agribusinesses. While some people consider this aide vital to the U.S. economy, others consider the subsidies to be a form of corporate welfare.
