Why Donald Trump Isn't Attacking First Lady Michelle Obama

Beyonce's expression doesn't bother me in the slightest.

As for kids, I'd monitor what they see as a parent - I wouldn't want society regulated to keep everything in a '50's moral code.

So, I just answered your question. While you continue to ignore everything I've posted, and your own glaring ignorance. Oops.

That wasn't so bad was it lol?

So, you'd rather your 13 daughter didn't see Beyoncé or Miley Cyrus prancing around half naked sticking their private parts at the camera?

Could you flesh that out a bit? Pardon the pun lol. Why, exactly, would you prefer your teenage sons and daughters to not see that?

I actually feel bad for young kids being brought up in today's sexually schizophrenic culture, with all its mixed signals. So try and avoid pat answers like 'it's offensive' or whatever.

Fuck off, you are starting to get as sanctimonious as Twatsky. If you can't see how hypocritical it is to claim that pop stars waving their arses and grabbing their pussies in front of impressionable young girls is empowering then screw you.
If you can't see the problem with reducing Beyonce's body of work and life accomplishments to a small segment of her choreography, then you don't fully comprehend the concept of a role model, and empowerment in general.

Contrast that with Trump's body of racist, sexist, incompetent actions over the course of his entitled life, and we're getting to the crux of this discussion.

Same reason I wouldn't take them to an R-rated movie, or going to certain sites on the internet, or going to a bar.

I'm answering your questions. Answer some of mine. Do you think this is at ALL equivalent to sexual assault? If you think it is...why? Why are you even bringing Beyonce up in this discussion?

This whole issue is about a man bragging that he has sexually assaulted women, and women who have corroborated that. What does that have to do w/ how Beyonce chooses to express herself artistically, and what parents choose to let their children see & hear?

So you don't understand the difference between consensual, and non consensual sex/actions?
God I get truly sick of all this sanctimonious twaddle!!

There is a strain of feminism that encourages women to behave as if we have arrived in some feminist utopia where rape is impossible. This stems from a very admirable desire to put the responsibility for rape on the men, not the women, and is an understandable backlash to rape trials that used to investigate whether the woman was “asking for it”.

Nonetheless, it’s stupid. Not only are we not in this utopia, we are never, ever going to be in that utopia. Even if we achieved a marvelously gender-blind society, there would still be some people who want to have sex with people who do not want to have sex with them. Indeed, the variety of human sexual fantasy being what it is, there will be some people who are almost exclusively interested in that sort of activity.

Some of those people will be women. But biology being what it is, the only ones who will be able to act on these desires will be men. Rape is, of course, tied up with our social ideas about sex and gender, just as theft is tied up with our social ideas about property rights and economic justice. But it is not simply a weapon of the patriarchy; it’s part of the natural human urge to force other people to give us what we want. (And let’s hope that we don’t develop compensating political philosophies to “redistribute” sex to the less privileged). That means women are going to have to take action to protect themselves.

It matters because there's no moral high road. That high horse you think you're riding is an illusion, same goes for Michelle Obama.

I know it matters greatly to you and the anti-Trump forces to maximize Trump's idle boast about grabbing pussy, but an idle boast it remains. He didn't make it in mixed company; no one had to explain to their kids why it was wrong. In fact, it's been conventional wisdom for who knows how long, that men who make such boasts are compensating for their own lack of sexual prowess.

It's not even assault because sexual assault presumes an unwillingness on the part of the victim. If you can discern that from Trump's words I congratulate you on your supernatural powers.

Nice try, sort of.

Who said what is irrelevant. That Beyoncé and Jay Z are welcome in the WH is a tacit affirmation of their 'art' and the message it sends to young girls.

Which again, is fine. Just spare us the outrage over Trump. Michelle is no position to comment on it.

Let's be clear: they are baiting Trump, again. Trump, listen to me---send Ben Carson out to call the Obama's out on their hypocrisy.

Stay out of it. It's why you have surrogates. Use them, please.

Now you can use that logic for when Beyonce and Jay Z were invited to the bush WH lol.

Music power couple Beyonce & Jay-Z got inside White House tour

Washington (CNN)
- Megastars Beyonce and Jay-Z, accompanied by a small group of friends, visited the White House on Wednesday for a special tour that included the White House Situation Room, White House aides confirmed.

A photo, apparently taken of the group in the Situation Room, was released on the Web site Rap Radar. The photo shows Jay-Z sitting at the head of the table, the seat normally occupied by the president.

What do you mean he didn't make it in mixed company lol? Stern's listeners are "mixed company." Robin Quivers isn't a man.

Sanctimonious? You seem to think that because Beyonce employs seductive choreography, she's asking to be raped/groped? Or if she's not asking for it, rape would be a natural progression from her actions, to what she 'deserves' because she stimulated someone?

Or is your position that because of said choreography, she loses all rights to accolades, and role model status?

So we're clear....are you arguing that Trump is a good role model for someone other than an aspiring rapist?

Whereas you are spot on about those who tend to brag, this week showed us that Trump was telling the truth about his sexual assaults on women. And that's all that this is about. Women are coming out to prove that Trump lied at the debate when he dismissed his bragging as 'locker room banter'.

In fact, it's the first truthful comment we've heard from Trump in over a year.

This is the worst argument, lol. Those women are grabbing their own bodies, so it's ok for us guys to grab their bodies!

You're out there driving your car all over town, so why can't I drive it, or encourage others to drive your car against your wishes?

And they all came out in October before the election lol. You'll believe anything, won't you.

Are you a bit slow and stupid, do you travel on the short bus with Evince? I am saying that you have this incredible dichotomy whereby nine year girls are considered old enough to see their heroines on stage twerking and indulging in extreme sexual imagery. Can you explain to me why modern society is so intent on taking away their childhood s so quickly?

However when they get bigger they are then considered so precious that they have to protected at all costs from rape culture men that can accost them at any moment. So much so that freshmen are given sexual conduct lectures and women have safe spaces, trigger and micro-aggression warnings. The woman is always to be perceived as in no way responsible for her actions, in a way it is almost like how women were treated back in Victorian times. You cannot tell a woman to be careful, not to get too drunk or don't walk down ill lit dark alleys as that is controlling behaviour.

Fortunately as happened at Cambridge University the men who were required to attend those lectures told the women running them to basically fuck off and in fact nobody attended. I say good for them!!

Now that's all I am going to say on the matter because I believe that it is plain enough what I'm saying. If you can't understand then clearly further discourse is pointless. If you need further help in understanding then I suggest that you watch this excellent video by Karen Straughan about feminist shaming tactics.
